Jeanne Riou, born in Dublin, is a Lecturer in German at University College Dublin. Her previous publications include Imagination in German Romanticism: Re-thinking the Self and its Environment (Lang: 2004) and Netzwerke. Eine Kulturtechnik der Moderne (jointly edited with Jürgen Barkhoff and Hartmut Böhme, Böhlau 2004). She is currently editing a book of essays, Ressentiment. On the Limits of Criticism and the Limits of its Critics (jointly with Mary Gallagher. Forthcoming: transcript 2012).
